I’m excited to bring you news of an upcoming collaboration with our friends at Root. On Thursday May 7th Charlie O’Brien from Silent Noise Wines in McLaren Vale, Australia will be joining us for the evening to talk about his wines and the life of a winemaker. We will taste six wines, and Root will be cooking five delicious dishes to accompany- menu below.

Hailing from McLaren Vale, Charlie was born in 1998 and grew up surrounded by vineyards, learning the craft from his winemaker dad before launching Silent Noise Wines — a label all about breaking the rules (in the best way).
Charlie is a master of wine stories and can – if you express the slightest interest –  tell you more about the winemaking of any of the wines than you really thought you wanted to know.  And he does it in his own rather fabulous style and his enthusiasm is contagious.
Named a Young Gun of Wine finalist, Charlie’s fearless approach to winemaking has made waves across the country. His wines blend tradition with creativity — bold, expressive, and full of personality.
